Bree Shrivelli

A Mystic, CT native, Bree comes to In Order to Succeed® with a background in both political science and journalism.

As a student at The George Washington University she learned project management, organizational and time management skills as a congressional intern in Congressman John Larson’s DC office and as program intern at the League of Conservation Voters. As a press intern in Senator Edward Kennedy’s DC office she tracked relevant news stories and coordinated interviews with journalists.

After graduating from The George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, she settled into Manhattan as a freelance journalist. Bree began writing about a vast variety of subjects from green living and sustainable food to domestic and international politics to fashion and design. Her work has appeared in national print and online magazines including: La Cucina Italiana, The Green Fork, and Condé Nast Traveler’s The Daily Traveler.

Un-settling herself once again in 2009, Bree moved just over the New York border to Greenwich, CT. She worked as a contributing reporter for Rye Patch while completing a graduate program in journalism at Quinnipiac University.

Currently, Bree serves as the Editor of the Stonington-Mystic Patch, a hyper-local news website based in Stonington, Connecticut. Since joining In Order To Succeed®, Bree has overseen the revision of our website, the launch of our blog, and provided services to our clients as a writer, researcher and editor.

When not reporting or writing, Bree can often be found searching for the perfect cup of coffee, exploring new places through their food markets and attempting to wrangle her golden retriever into proper behavior.
