Carla Foster joins In Order to Succeed with a diverse financial, marketing, and estate liquidation background. She is an experienced task juggler who understands how to run a business as well as a home with ease and fine attention to the details. In Order To Succeed clients appreciate Carla’s calm demeanor, willingness to tackle anything, and ability to expertly project manage even the most complicated of situations. Carla is especially skilled at working with seniors making the transition to a smaller space, supporting them in making decisions about what to bring to their new home, honoring what’s important to them, and setting up the new space thoughtfully.
As a Citibank private bank and commercial loan officer, Carla learned the complexities of money management and later implemented these skills as a financial controller for small businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and as an independent consultant for local entrepreneurs.
She also has designed, manufactured and marketed full product lines for the wholesale gift market, including for Nordstrom’s, Cape Cod Potato Chips, Fenwick’s in England, and The Container Store; her favorite place to shop. Organizing a home is an extension of her imaginative thinking from conception to completion.
Surrounded by antiques and collectibles as a child growing up in Westport, Connecticut, Carla appreciates and understands the antique business. Mentored by her talented antique dealer mother, she embraced the selling aspect of the business by running estate sales as well as auction placement and online sales. She loves to make order out of chaos, with a fondness for downsizing.
Carla finds joy in being in, on, and near the water. She is a licensed and practicing water fitness instructor, an avid sailboat racer, and in her free time, a frequent visitor to the Italian coastline.
